Document Required by Indians for
Immigration in Bhutan
For Adults
A Passport with at least 6 months of validity on the date of travel
Original Voter ID Card with a Hologram is required.
Voter card must be in english language. Only the physical card received by post at home will be accepted; a downloaded version from the internet will not be valid for entry into Bhutan.
For Minors (below 18 years)
A Passport with at least 6 months of validity on the date of travel
or
Original Birth Certificate issued by the local municipal authority. Birth Certificate must be in English with name and date of birth mentioned in it.
Note: Carry original documents for immigration in Bhutan. Photocopies will not be accepted, and TripHawker is not responsible for any issues if originals are not provided.
Voter Card
This type of voter card which is downloaded online is not valid because of no hologram

This type of voter card is Valid with Hologram is valid
This type of Voter ID card contains an internal hologram and is valid only if received by post at home. The hologram can be verified under UV light
Valid Birth Certificate
