Q: We’re a couple, do we need to share a room?
A: You can opt for double sharing then you will get a private room on double sharing only. No Sharing with any other traveller.
Q: I’m travelling Solo, how will I be accommodated?
A: For Solo travellers, Room sharing will be with another same-gender solo traveller on double/triple sharing. If the number of solo travellers is odd i.e. 3,5,7 then the room will be on triple sharing.
Q: What would be the mode of transportation?
A: We use SUV Vehicle (Xylo/Innova) for transportation. Which is the best mode of travel in Sikkim.
Note: Sometimes Vehicle may change depending upon the number of travellers in the group.
Q: Why Nathu-La Pass is not included?
Nathula Pass is at the Indo-China border and requires a special permit. Which will be issued only on the day of the Nathula Pass visit. We apply for the permit and its issuance is dependent upon various factors such as weather, restriction of the number of vehicles limit per day, road conditions etc.
Q: What Identity proofs are valid for travelling in Sikkim?
You can present a Voter card or driving license or passport to get a permit.
Aadhaar Card is not valid in Sikkim.
Q: Is Sikkim safe for solo travelling?
Yes, Sikkim is one of the safest places to visit for Solo travellers. However, travelling solo could cost a little high due to less bus connectivity and for some of the places, no sharing taxi are available. It is always a better idea to travel in a group to reduce the cost of travelling and accommodation.
